Electric Fireworks brings Amsterdam together at Museumplein to ring in the New Year in spectacular fashion. A moment where we stand side by side as Amsterdammers, feel connected, and begin the adventure of 2026 together.
The program is packed with highlights. At 7:00 PM, the evening kicks off with Electric Fireworks Junior, specially created for children. Doors open at 10:00 PM. From 11:00 PM, we all warm up together during the pre-party, getting ready with full energy for the New Year’s celebration.
Of course, at 11:55 PM, we’ll count down to 2026 together during a thrilling countdown. And exactly at midnight, Electric Fireworks truly ignites as we welcome the New Year.
No tickets are required for Electric Fireworks. The event is completely free to attend!

The sky slowly turns dark, the excitement builds, and exactly at 6:45 PM the celebration kicks off with Electric Fireworks Junior – the magical midnight moment for families with children who can’t (or don’t want to!) wait until 12 o’clock.
Together with Edson da Graça, you dive into an exciting adventure full of light, music, and dance. The young partygoers become the heroes of the evening, because only with their help can the Electric Fireworks take to the sky!
And when the clock strikes 7:00 PM… the sky comes alive with a breathtaking light and fireworks show, while music fills the air and everyone dances in a sea of color. It promises to be a cheerful and spectacular program as we start looking ahead to the countdown to 2026.

The easiest way to reach Electric Fireworks (Junior) is on foot or by bike. Bike parking is available at Museumplein. Are you traveling by public transport? From 20:00 onwards, GVB buses, trams and metros will no longer operate. Check the latest travel information on https://gvb.nl.
You can park your bike in the designated areas around Museumplein.
There is an accessibility deck available at Museumplein. If you wish to use it, please email info@electricfireworks.nl in advance. You will then receive further details and the exact location of the accessibility deck.
Yes, you can! We kindly ask everyone to dispose of their waste in the designated bins.Food and drinks will not be sold at Museumplein, so feel free to bring your own.
For safety reasons, it is not allowed to bring glassware and/or crates of beer to Museumplein.
Just like in the rest of the city, lighting fireworks at Museumplein is not permitted.We strongly ask everyone to respect each other’s comfort and safety so everyone can enjoy the show pleasantly.
To give even more people the chance to enjoy the celebration, we will once again be in Nieuw-West this year, at the Sloterplas. Exactly at 12:00 AM (until 12:10 AM), a professional, sustainable, and colorful fireworks display will light up the sky—both traditional and contemporary.

No, you don’t. The show is free. However, once it’s full, it’s full—so make sure to arrive on time!
